Davyo
Well nearly finished the E700 spotter, not going to bother with any other lens other than &16mm at the moment as it will also be used as a driving aid (connects to a 7inch lcd monitor in the cab )& for spotting on foot ,16mm is ok for judging distance.I decided not to enclose the 12v dc battery as i want it to be as versatile as possible, i want to run it of the cars 12v if using it from the window plus use the battery if on foot.Initially i had a cut down t20 and was going to run it off 12v,but decided on the usual battery as as daveG states you don't always need the IR esp at dusk when driving along the margins. total cost to build £118.00 Edited September 12, 2014 by Davyo

Davyo
Its easy mate, this ones an absolute doddle as no wires have been cut at all.Everthing is in the box connected together.2 holes in the bottom for the 12v in and a video out to connect the 7inch lcd in the cab.
