SNAKEBITE
built up bits?? so what are you saying about london, manchester etc then snakebite? I would have to say that they are a right mess as well! Only, joking with you though I love Scotland, although it has been far too long since I was there. The things I remember was being able to drink the water from the stream without boiling it first and being taught to tickle trout, left a lasting impression on me that did. Are you honestly saying that Glasgow is any worse than Portsmouth or Blackpool? Have you been to all of them recently or even at all? I have and beleive me, they all have areas you don't want to visit on your own. I'm not saying any one is better than the other, I dislike ALL built up dumpy holes in the middle of cities. I have spent enough time being lost in back streets of Brixton surrounded by Gangstas and crack whores to form an opinion on this, believe me that was the longest 1/2 hour of my life
Baldrick
You are perfectly entitled to, and eligible for, an SGC if you live in a rented home. I have moved between two rented homes in the past 3 years, although I have held my SGC for a long while. The FEO had no objection when I moved to a rented flat in London. Nor has he any objection to my girlfriend applying for an SGC from scratch. So get cracking with the application when you move in!

Probably have a house share and I doubt they or more importantly the land lord will be happy with a Steel cabinet bolted to the wall with a couple of guns in! But if no-one minds, then I will happily get one as I am hoping will have quite a lot of disposable income due to house share (low bills ) and cheaper living up north. At the moment I am edging toward Warton due to the fact its a huge base with lots going on, loads of grads like me to house share with and the fact it has 2 squadrons of eurofighters on! Would love to bag a flight in the back of a eurofighter/hawk! I have also been informed you can do training courses in basically anything! Including defensive driving that will help on those long drives home around the M25 Also warton is a small village, nearer preston than blackpool but believe me after a 2 day interview in blackpool i will be staying well clear! lol. Anyone been to preston, whats it like? looks quite nice on the net. Portsmouth althou lovely I dont think will be great for my career as its with a smallish subisdary so quiet base and no real BAE contacts as such.
