missedagainstan
Last evening was the second outing with Mentor and student keen . Got up the high chair at 5pm the wind was blowing an icy gale with drizzling rain. The double high chair stood firm with approximately 30st sat in it . 6 pm came and went with daylight all but gone with only a couple of pheasants and a hair for company. 6.10pm a muntjac buck appeared in the field 90 yards out in front and knelt on front legs. Slowly moved rifle round and prepared, mentor gave the ok to take the shot, flipped of the safety catch which the buck heard and lifted up onto all fours. Got the ok again to shoot and took it. A low chest shot which dropped him down. It was hung over night, cut up this evening and is now in the freezer. Lesson learned for next time with the safety catch

AndyCM
Well done, you were lucky with the safety - is it noisy, or was your heart pumping ? What rifle / calibre - do you like the S5 moderator ? Cheers AndyCM
