widgeon man
Steel sits above wad in lightening steel, cut one open and have a look for yourself.... Not much, but for me the gamebore is better and more consistent cart. 11/4oz 3's fine for general ducking. Alliant 356, bp wad 900 bar pressure 1330fps. Eley are notorious for variable loading..... fenboy
But loading just above the wad should not cause a issue as the shot "sets back" upon firing , in fact the steel reloading manual I have just brought mentions this (RSI). I have shot 100s of the lightnings as have others I know with no issues at all.
widgeon man
Crack on then..... Just a word of warning ; ) some cases were better than others, I do plenty of loading so I'm well aware of what it should be. Can't justify loading average duck carts as i wouldn't keep up through the season, and cost is the same. Crack on then..... wildfowler.250
First of all, thanks for all the advice! Managed to eventually get 500 mammoths from justcartridges so that should keep me going for a wee while What u using for the geese now, down to my last 5 game bore 42grm 1s so need to get something else if the gamebore isn't available? Im still using the 42gram 1's mark. Think it was the 36g 3's that were in short supply. really like the gamebore steel
