Fisherman Mike
I've lived in a village on the edge of the Toadsmoor valley between Cirencester and Stroud for the last 16 years.. Its a steepy valley well wooded with predominately beech and oak ( and copious amounts of Ivy) Ive never seen so many Wood pigeons working the woodland floor since ive been here.. Great clouds of them have been flighting over my house twice a day for the last 6 weeks or so. Saw a big flock earlier about 3 - 4 thousand birds strong and a low flying helicopter put all of the birds up yesterday lunchtime when I was out with the dog and I couldn't count them all... even approximately. As I type there are about 200 in the top of a tall sycamore tree only about 100 feet from my back door. Going to try and get a vid of them tomorrow. Been trying to get some access to the woodland just to use the air rifle for quite a few years but to no avail.
