sjnshooter
How do I word the fact I want to apply for .243 ammo to shoot deer/ foxes ? Is it called expanding ammo or is there a more technical wording for it
Kes
It is expanding ammunition but simply by applying for a rifle for deer (assuming you get it ) you will have to have expanding ammo as otherwise shooting deer in UK would be illegal. WelshMike
Just one point, put "Deer, foxes and AOLQ" in the column for use. AOLQ means Any Other Lawful Quarry and is pretty well a cover all. Forces should put this down automatically but they dont always. This would allow you to legally shoot a rabbit (not suggesting you do as the calibre is a little big but if your licence only allows Deer and Foxes you would technically be breaking the condition of your ticket). Another good point. Make sure you apply for everything you want, as later variations cost.
