eeski
SGC expires in April, GMP contacted me about renewal and turned it all around within a week. So far very impressed. FEO offered to take me valid and current cert with him during home visit but I declined and he asked if I would return it when renewed cert arrived. I was going to post the old cert back tonight BUT the new cert has a valid from date of April so technically won't be valid for another 6 weeks. I doubt it will be a problem but if I post the old one back as GMP asked I won't hold a valid certificate. I guess the answer is to contact GMP and ask exaclty when I should return the expired cert (when it expires in 6 weeks!) Have I answered my own question ? :-) Any other advice ? Gordon R
My first advice would be to speak to them. Best Firearms branch in the country. I would suggest sending a photocopy of your old cert - if they find that acceptable.
eeski
Thanks, will give them a call in the morning. I've always found GMP very approachable and sensible. Will give them a call tomorrow, I sent a copy of my current certificate in with my renewal as I didn't want to be without the original. moorvale55
You do not have to send in your old certificate.
