Blunderbuss
My Dad was a bike nut, and him and my Mam went to the Isle of Man TT for their honeymoon in around 1955. Despite razzing around on FS1E's, CB 50's, Fantics and on one memorable occasion a Suzuki 750 GT (kettle) in my teens back in the 70's, Ive never been interested really. Not taking my bike test has often been one of my biggest regrets, and at 55 it will more than likely stay that way. Have fun. Scully, its never too late. 55 is an ideal time to start! You have decades of road sense and life experience to draw on, so are more likely to ride safely. You probably have more disposable income than you did in your twenties too. After a short dabble in my teens, I too had a late start and only took my test in my late thirties. At 51 now, I reckon my best biking years are ahead of me. Go for it!
