markfromholland
My 425 serialnr starts with mm, i found out that the m represents 0. so mine is made in 2000. Somewhere on the net is a page with an explanation of the year of manufacture.

seeker
From memory the 325s were chopper lump barrels and 425 monoblock .. though Browning seemed to sometimes make changes to existing models before the new range arrives ...

Chris Bb
I have a 325, it's only identification is on the top of the top barrel, in very small print, "mod 325". It's a 1991 "nz" serial with Invector chokes. My pal's has "325" in huge numbers underneath the action and has Invector+ chokes. As has been said, Browning modify and change at will.
