ben0850
I see lots on my areas, 15/20 per field...I'm trying to let the numbers grow but the local long dog lads have a different idea...so I mite as well take the odd one with the shotgun...can't beat one in the slow cooker on a snowy Sunday with the odd wine...nothing better. Couldn't agree more, I can happily send you a Giorgio Locatelli recipe for Pappardelle alle Lepre, it's simply outstanding for Hare.
Underdog
I know some places get over run with them and have to be controlled some. Fair enough. Around here we just have a few. I like seeing them. I use to run them with long dogs twenty years or more ago. One saluki greyhound I had would stick to a hare until they were corsing at a brisk walking pace! Have you ever seen a hares tongue hanging out like a gasping dogs? I have! I have a lot of admiration for them now but understand high density populations need some control. U.
