Well..i overslept a little, didnt get in the field and set-up till 8 this morning. The morning was nice, bit of a breezy morning but still nice.

Set-up on the corner of some maize stubble, set out 6 shell decoys and sat behind the hide. Waited about 5 minutes and one crow comes flying straight over my hide. Pop, down he goes, he was huge jackdaw! run over and dispatched him, set him up in the pattern, went back. Over pops the 2nd jackdaw to my right, took him down on the second barrel.. Thats all i shot this morning..but..

There were a few pairs of pigeons about, and im really happy with the way they came into the decoys (i havnt quite got the hang of decoying yet) but the 2 pairs of pigeons that come over, both swung round and were coming in for the land, but unfortuntly i winged one which carried on flying, and the others i missed. :good::good: still im quite confident that they were coming in on the decoys.

Just as i was about to pack up a 13 year old boy and his dad approached me, turns out they shoot on the same farm/surrounding farms, with both shotty and a .17hmr so i grabbed their numbers and they took mine, just incase they wanted an extra shooting buddy one day.

Enjoyable day even though i only managed 2 :good:

Edit: Also met someone from Airgunbbs down the rifle range afterwards
