mkhan
Hi guys I am in a middle of buying a hw77 22 air rifle from my friend. I borrowed this gun to be tested and after firing about 10 pallets I realised that the bearing and the spring that go in the foresight had been out. Luckily I found them on the floor. I have been battling for hours to put them back in. According to my understanding the spring goes in first and the bearing sits on top. However they both won't stay in. This is going to be my first air rifle as I don't really understand air rifles. How can I fix this issue? Do I need a new foresight housing if yes where do I find one? And secondly how do you remove the old housing? And how much does it cost? The gun doesn't have a telescope either so what should be the price of this gun? The rifle spring is pretty good and fires well and has descent range. Please help
bruno22rf
If you google "airgun spares" and then go onto the Chambers site you can find a diagram of your gun-should be able to work out where you are going wrong. Prices for a decent 77 vary enormously-I saw a shop buy a nice scoped gun for £30 but £200+ is the norm depending on condition. Great guns that ruled the roost for many years and with good reason-you will need a scope and decent mounts to appreciate its capabilities.
