jantar
After buying a new AirForceOneTarget Trophy Multi shot pistol I opted to buy a couple of extra magazines forease of use. These had to be from other suppliers due to lack of availability. The pistol arrived in its unopened box, great stuff thinks I happily inanticipation of wonders to come and after taking it out of the box soondiscovered that the magazine supplied would not locate in its housing becauseit had either literally come apart in transit or had not been assembledcorrectly to start with, the centre screw was almost screwed out of itslocation causing it to be too thick for the breech slot. No problem thinks Iand fiddled about until I had it reassembled and eventually working. Strangetypical FX type magazine loading technique but hey-ho can’t have everything canwe? The crux of the matter is this: I have since bought 2 further magazines andnone of them would slide into the breech opening because the centre magazinescrew head would not let them. Neither could the screws be tightened furtherinto their locations. Problem eventually resolved by cutting/grinding 1mm offthe threads of each screw and reassembling the magazines with a dab of loctite242 after making sure that they revolved freely. Question is this, is it onlyme that has had this problem with every magazine I have had or is it endemic inthe whole batch? 3 bad .177 magazines out of 3 and each from differentsuppliers is more than a coincidence I think!Feelings are; Pistol is a great entry level target one well worth the money dueto its accuracy and build quality but the poor magazine design andconstruction is. Someone needs to address the magazine Quality Control beforethis problem puts buyers off buying an otherwise decent pistol.Still cannot get hold of a single shot tray either! 1066
I have a couple of the CP-1 air pistols (just the single shot version) and while I happy with my purchases and thought I got a fair deal I wouldn't consider them suitable for anyone thinking of taking up 10m air pistol shooting (even entry level) I paid around £70 each for my pistols, direct from Poland with no problem (including VAT and shipping) I certainly wouldn't have paid £160 odd each for them. These pistols cost less than £40 in Poland.
