Got some

After a fairly dissaponting 2006 permission wise I made a promise to myself to get my finger out and get some decent land, and nearer to where I live. I had a small parcel of quite productive land about 15 minutes away and a huge swath of land 70 miles away with ****** all on it, so fairly easy to improve on. We lost the big one and the small one had political issues so I was looking to give it up anyway.

After a lot of badgering I have now been given permission on a golf course and driving range, both of which are overrun with rabbits. The secret in this case was the timing, the golf course select their shooters (they have more than one) at this time of year and I was in the right place at the right time.

I can't say I can pass on too much advice, other than what the more experienced land acquirers on here have already said, don't bother with email (did that, waste of time) and/or letters, get on the phone or better still get round there. Having broken the ice I asked if the greenkeeper had any other greenkeeper mates, and of course he does. The best thing is he knows the 'keeper of the course about a mile from my house, and I know that is absolutely living with bunnies, I have just to keep the momentum going and get that one signed up as well.

If like I was, you are struggling to get anything decent, don't give up, it will come to you in the end if you put the time and effort in.
