Sco77w
I have an olg Greener GP Martini action shotgun but I can't make sense of the proof marks. Mine shows cross swords with an I at 9 oclock, a B at 3 o'clock and a 2 at 6 o'clock. I know the B shows its a Birmingham mark and the 2 is the grade of the person that tested it but they didn't use the letter I as a year stamp. Can anyone shed ony light on it' the serial no starts 036 if that helps. Edited July 17, 2015 by Sco77w
Gunman
I would suggest that it is a bad stamp and is either L or T You do get marks that are hard to decipher due to worn punches or to lightly impressed stamping .
