Got me some shooting Permission today, i noticed quite a lot of crows in the fields with the sheep that are just starting to lamb this week, so i asked about as to who owned the land and was pointed in the right direction, i drove to the farm and kept it simple "i'm looking for shooting permission, CROWS, maggies, pigeons, etc" he asked who i was, if i was local, and said "sure you can, get some of them black ******* of and im happy.

Off home i went to get the decoys, gun etc and drove back and st up, i put two decoys on top of a dead sheep a couple near and one on the dry stone wall as sentry and called away. The farmer drove by a few hours later to see quite a few dead crows lying around and said "good work"(nodding his head)..............................nuff said :angry:

theres also pigeon, rabbits, and canadas to be had to.....happy chap

Like most permisions, a farmer is very welcoming, if he knows he has a problem and is, most usually, quite happy to have someone to sort it out.

If you're shooting pigeons, offer him the lot, when you've finished, more than lightly he will refuse or take a brace, but, importantly, you've made a new friend and probably be able to go at any time, for most things, IF, you ask nicely.
