dead eye alan
Out this morning at 10am looking all over for the elusive gray hordes none to be found, lots of ground checked out but after 2 wet days lots had been ripped up ready for plowing. The pigeons had moved on to pastures new but where could thy have gone? After 2 hours and 68 miles we found a few on a stubble but not a flight line in just a few coming from all directions. This left us with no other choice but to have a go, set up with the sun behind us and wind from left to right, a flapper and 8 dead birds on cradles. Slow all day but ended with 12 woody's 10 ferels 4 crows 1 bonus magpie. Some very poor shooting took place and a lot of niss taking, shot of the day went to Tom dropping a fast crosser at 50 yards so went home highly delighted. Just goes to show its not numbers its the shear enjoyment that counts, we really enjoyed our self's.
