So yesterday I got myself a Webley & Scott .410 single shot bolt action shotgun....It would have been rude not to as it was going dirt cheap!

Anyway, I was wondering how and the best way to strip and clean it as I can't find any guides online so any help would be much appreciated.

Honestly?

OK, bolt held open and back with right hand, pull the trigger back and remove bolt. Now clean the bore.

Next find the grub screw on the bolt and remove it to disassemble the bolt. Pierced primers blow fouling in there and corrosion starts clean and oil well.

Thanks for that. It was removing the bolt I was wondering about, I didn't want to start forcing it and end up knackering the thing.

Thanks for the info.
