Gonna Shoot a Wabbit
Thats a good link to give you an idea. a few tips for you once you have cast the first row on. turn your work around if required and always work left to right. this alternates the direction your knots lie and allows the net to sit flat on the ground and not curl up. so once you reach the end of the row just turn your work around and start again from the left. once you have formed the loop to make your knot, lift it up from the bottom prior to pulling tight then pull tight. This locks the knot better and eliminates slipping knots (dead eye duck showed me that and he knows a thing or two about making nets ) difficult to put into words how to do it i will try to take some photos for you and show you how to do it. Don't give up its great to catch rabbits in nets you have made yourself, netmaking just takes a little practice.

Gonna Shoot a Wabbit
No problem, glad to help . just treat fitting the end rings as another row of meshes. Start left to right.Pass needle through the ring, pick up a mesh, form knot as described and pull tight. repeat until all of the meshes are picked up and tied onto the ring. after the last mesh i prefer to tie the end off on the last outside knot on the net rather than the ring. just makes it a little tidier on the ring as it can get a bit crowded with hemp depending on how many meshes wide your net is. One final tip, do your best to keep the same tension on your net as you progress in length this keeps your knots in a uniform row, also on my netmaking setup after i have completed 8 rows i take 4 rows off the rig to ease weight and length of work, again this prevents trying to work at arms length and makes the task a little easier. Any other problems just drop me a line and if neccesary will post some more pics with what you are struggling with. You never know may even get them in the right order this time. you just have to persevere when you are a beginner but panic ye not you will soon get it. The first thousand knots are the worst.
