matone
Finally got a spare afternoon today and went to some standing peas which the pigeons have been pestering ! Set up for 1.45,with little breeze and a bit too much sun,as I had to be south facing !!!!! 1st hour or so was slow, odd ones decoyed but most flittered about being very non commital.Later things improved, more decoyed perfectly but the slightest wrong move was spotted and they were easily spooked.Packed in at 4.45 with 36 ,a very good afternoons sport but felt it would have been a lot better with a good breeze and some cloud.I saw a lot of stock doves about, they seem to be increasing every year. matone
Been keeping an eye on the fields and the pigeons have returned pretty quick ! There are a lot of unpodded peas in the tramlines where the sprayer ran on them. Might get another go by the looks of it !
