Decoying advice

Bit of advice please.

Me and 2 mates have booked permits to shoot a marsh at the end of the month. There are only 4 permits allowed on this marsh so we should have it to ourselfs.

We will be decoying and the tides in theory look good for it. My predicament is... do we put all our decoys together and shoot together or split up and do our own thing.

I'm fairly new to wildfowling and only have 6 teal and 6 widgeon decoys. Obvously if we shot together then we would have a lot more decoys, but do people find more decoys generally work better?

I would say try to together at 1st see how it goes that's if you are staying longer than one day,or better still just have a gap of say 30yds or so between you with deeks out 30-40yds in the centre of you both putting six and six with say 10yd gap between both sets as a sort of killing zone or just six each directly out front of you both....trying pick up a few more deeks as the more on the water is easier for them to see from up above....and get teal as you can carry more that way...enjoy!! Atb DT.
