FalconFN
I recieved an old and battered Felix Sarasqueta sxs that was thrown in when I bought an O/U. As the O/U needs a little work I decided to take the sxs out for a test, and amazingly it fits like a glove and I shot well with it. I had a look at the barrel markings and under the word CHOKE it has 17.3 over 18.5 on one barrel and 17.6 over 18.5 on the other. By my reckoning that would make the chokes exta full and full, which can't be right. Further down the barrels there is a feignt crossed guns stamp and a number, possibly 18.2, so would that be the actual barrel diameter rather than 18.5? That would certainly make more sense but I don't know which number to believe. Edited November 12, 2015 by FalconFN
Gunman
Only way is to measure them . A lot of Spanish guns were imported with heavy or full chokes and were bore to customer requirement . its easier to take it out than put it back ,As with many proof marks they have changed over the years and chokes were often marked up with a star system by the Eibar Proof house. Not 100% sure but some of the sizes could have been the provisional proof size ,when reading poof marks for barrel diameter , rule of thumb is always take the largest as the one to look at.
