hellier0437
i am about to get a cz varmint in .22 with a hawke endurance scope. Now the only thing left is what mounts to get. aside from choosing mounts that are high enough to fit the scope in over the barrel, should i get the mounts that are as low as possible, or are there any advantages in high mounts? Also, how much should i pay for them and what brand/type should i get? thanks
dazzyboi
Entirely depends on the scopes objectives. For example. I have a Simmonds WTC with a 50m objective lens, i had to go for the double 1" high mounts because of the 50mm objective lens
Russell
I've just got my new Hawke Endurance MAP 8 series model no. - HK3404 today - http://www.hawkeoptics.com/riflescopes/endurancemap.htm Now fitted to my Ruger 77/22 but won't be able to test it until the weekend - have got it so it clears the barrel by @ 1mm.
