Velocette
I;ve been getting one or two "soft strikes" recently with the trusty Beretta,,mostly with Fiocchi PL32 carts so I thought that after more than two decades use the firing pin may need replacing. They are cheap enough from Brignoliarmi.com but I wonder if anyone has done it on here and could tell me how to remove the retaining pin from the bolt assembly which seems to have some glue bonding it in place. I suspect heat would soften it but I'm not sure what to use to re-fix the pin. Any ideas ?
Paul223
Are you sure it's not just a roll pin which you tap out?
Velocette
It looks like a shouldered solid pin which is secured at the wide end with some sort of glue or bonding agent.
