Highlander
First flush of peas are through, bang on time. Woody is hitting them either (very) early morning or late afternoon/evening but during the day you’d swear they had all emigrated! (Woody that is not the peas ) Currently no peas being drilled as ground is too dry, farmers waiting for rain! Weather dominates all as usual! Forecast is for some rain next week but that could change yet again. Amazing how some spring barley has taken where the ground is still moist from all that winter rain we had. Other than that most of the ground is like concrete!
Conygree
In north Oxfordshire the woodies went AWOL since last summer, hardly shot any - now they are back in large numbers = back on the menu, bit warn for them in the afternoons, I find then half way up trees in the cool. invector
My field of failed beans has just been sown to millet, so I'm looking forward to seeing if the pigeons are interested.
