lord_seagrave
Any insurance/motor experts give me a hand here? Lady S bought an unregistered moped (it had only been used as a runaround on a private estate). In order to register it for road use, the DVLA require proof of insurance. Turns out that insurers want to charge at least £100 more (on top of a premium of only (£150) to insure an unregistered vehicle. Is this correct? lord_seagrave
Scrub that. Poorly worded form. Turns out you only need this when in Northern Ireland. Lord knows why. LS
armsid
for road use first mot test on the frame no.you can take it to test on trailer or in a van when it passes(iff) insurance on frame no. and apply to dvla for registration with tax money should be easy but knowing how dvla work could take awhile
Glenlivet
Yes, insuring on VIN is expensive. I imported my Italian motorbike and had to go through the same chirade. Why you have to insure a vehicle you can't legally use on the road is beyond me.
