oowee Posted March 21, 2016 Report Share Posted March 21, 2016 Farmer called at my house on Saturday to tell me he had just finished first lot of Barley. Got out there at 830 to see a mixture of black and gulls. Set my mate at the top of the field and I dropped into the bottom hedge. It was steady blacks for a couple of hours and I finished with 32 including a feral pigeon so a fair day out. It was great being in the sun with a good cover and seat in the hedge. Driving right to the hide so no carrying. At one point I had a shell duck land in my deeks it was a truly memorable day. Farmer stopped at the hide to ask If I will look at another field behind where he has just finished some more Barley. I am free on wednesday and have a couple of chaps joining me, weather looks to be good most of the week so that should be another decent day out.
