Glenlivet
Saw one of these at a shoot yesterday. A light frame which attaches to your gun slip with a spike at the end for pushing into the ground so your slip stands straight up, not the tripod type stands. The guy I spoke to got his from Boxwich Shooting Supplies but when I spoke to them they said the guy who makes them has retired and they can't get them anymore. Does anyone know know of another supplier?
saddler
A sketch may be of use I've converted slips to take attachment points for normal shooting sticks (to carry as one unit, not use while attached to the slip) May be able to make something if I can get a better idea of the design

Imagine a telescopic pole with a hook/clip at the top and bottom to fix onto the shoulder strap loops on the gun slip. At the bottom there is a cross bar, below which is a steel spike 6-8" long. You push the spike into the ground with your foot on the cross bar, the slip and gun then sit upright so you can take the gun from the top of the slip. I guess that the bottom clip would have to be adjustable so the the bottom of the slip is level with the cross bar. I saw a few of these yesterday so imagine someone on here will have one.
