craig1982
Finally found a .22 FAC Superten. Found it on Gun trader yesterday and was quite local to me which was luck. Off now to give it a go. Hope it is a good as my last Rapid 12.
craig1982
Had a quick go in the garden and using Secretagentmoles test it's a Mk 3 action. It came with a shrouded bull barrel as a spare the on fitted is a normal BSA barrel with moderator. It was chronoed in the gun shop this morning at just under 30 Ft/lbs. Would it be less powerful if the shorter Bull barrel was fitted ?

Also if it is carbined it may legally be too short to be an FAC.... Stick to the rifled barrel for sound level and shot count, also accuracy! craig1982
First impressions. "Heavy" That comes of being made well. Fairly Quiet. Not sure what pressure is in the buddy bottle. I have a only have a probe type filling set up at the moment, so cannot charge the bottle, did notice there was a very small air leak from the buddy bottle valve. It will not fire if the bolt is not fully cocked. Serial No is in the 10000's Does not look like a Mk 3 stock. Magazine !!!! not as good as Theoben. A new magazine may be on the cards. Seems to be some doubt as to whether the new magazines will work on a Superten. Good buy at £475 with a tin of Bisley Mags and a BSA Scope. ?? secretagentmole
Leak from the valve could indicate a new o ring is needed. A Theoben bottle filler should fit the Super 10. Magazine, there is a service guide on You tube, take it apart, clean it, lubricate it, rebuild it, should find it works a lot better! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVmbLtaq2WU Watch that, just clean and lubricate and rebuild, simples!
