Bussta
I am going to look at a 2nd hand Beretta 686 Muli Choke 30" barrels next week, have been thinking about getting one for some time, but don't like the new look Silver Pigeons, so really want one of the pre-pigeon 686's. Are they a good gun, and would 30" barrels be better than 20"?
henhurst
30" barrels would be much better than 20". The only thing you can do with 20" barrels is rob banks. Depends what you have in mind.
Vermin Dropper
I have the Baretta 686s, Its a cracking gun, clay or in the field, if it fits you well then you won't be disappointed.

poppythedog
It's a cracking gun, i've owned a 30" multichoke sporter for 10 years it's never let me down and has fired an awful lot of cartridges. Even if they do eventually wear, hinge pins are easily changed as are firing pins, buy one and live happily ever after!
bugsy
i think 686 is best in its class 28inch is more usefull in pigeon hide in my experience
