I have a standard base that has split and Uttings say it is now out of warranty so normally suggest to try the importer - who has just changed so probably wont respond for months. Maybe best try Leupold USA directly but I've not got any joy after nearly 2 weeks. No reply, nothing. How can a standard base open up in normal use.... I'll never know.
