scotslad
Alright folks. I'm in the lucky position to be building a kennel block from scratch, after years of bodged add ons althou they done the job fine. I was thinking of 5 runs off 1.5m x 2m which is decent sized but not massive, i hoped to have a 1m corridor on end of external runs so only locking 1 door to make all dogs secure And building a shed for the dogs to sleep in, so it ends up being 7.5m long (5 x 1.5 ) and was thinking 4m wide, (1m/2-3ft at side for sleeping boxes, 2m in middle for storage, and potentially 1m/3ft the far side for more sleeping boxes should i ever need more dogs got space to make it double sided, not tha i should ever need that many dogs) But when u peg it out on the ground it looks bloody massive and is about 50m2, so ur talking a wagon of concrete. Do my plans seem excessively large? Got the space and got a wagon load of cheap blocks so can do the building work myself. All it will cost extra apart from time is the extra tin for roof and extra concrete Run 5 dogs at the minute and turn down a lot of picking up so could easily find work for more dogs if the day job allowed
