sishyplops
Just took delivery of my nanocom today and my second hand key turned up the same time, was quoted £200 for a new key as only got one with the discovery when I got it, I'll probably (hopefully) never need a spare but really don't like not having one, returned key with new blade was £40 on flea bay, (yes I know there are cheaper ones but this was from a specialist key chap) nanocom was £350 but also found the SRS fault and feed that otherwise would of been fiddling for ever trying to find it Great piece of kit well made and £80 less than they are off eBay from the same company
Munzy
I've been looking at picking up a Nanocom for the same reason, I need a spare key, would like to read fault codes and also interested in remapping the TD5. Which seller did you get the key from? Is it a Disco 2?
sishyplops
Yes its a disco 2 got it from blackbox solutions who are also the seller on ebay as it comes from Cyprus andyway there is no uK seller, when they sell on ebay in the uk they sell them for over £400 ! but its still delivered from Cyprus, theres one on ebay at £341 plus £20 post and its second hand !! mine new from the OEM was £346 delivered in two days mad world
Munzy
Yep, spotted the seller, thanks for confirming! I'm waiting on a replacement fuel line for mine (rubs on the chassis eventually opening a small hole and leaking diesel everywhere!). Once that's sorted I'll order a Nanocom and get the spare key sorted. Only had the car a couple of weeks but really liking it. I spent an hour on the drive this morning removing the EGR valve. Nice and easy to work on these cars. If I do go ahead and get a remap in the next few months I'll buy the map online and load it myself. I'll be sure to give you a shout if I do in case you want a copy of the map!
sishyplops
sound good thank you , mines a sluggish old thing, but driven a few and they all feel under powered
Munzy
Mine seems pretty good, noticeably more sharp than my friend's which is identical in spec. Try cleaning the MAP sensor in the intake manifold with electrical contact cleaner and also give the MAF sensor (black tube between air box and turbo) a clean or even replace it. Quite common for these to be covered in crud effecting performance.
