BackLegger
I've been training my springer for 11 months now and "Taffy's" training has come on in leaps and bounds, included are some pics from early on up until recently when he did his first ever retrieve, a squirrel, along with two two pigeon I took later on: Managed to get some more time in with Taffy between working the other day and decided to spend a morning with him on some more training... Drilled the 'stop whistle' into him today, with good results, spent some more time on the basics like walking to heel, steadiness and retrieving over water.. the boy done well Rewarded him with a short walk of about an hour before the rain set in and he managed to flush his first rabbit and I kept up my end of the bargain by hitting it first time He did retieve the rabbit but only for approx. 10 yds before dropping it, this I think was my fault as I got excited and began to praise him too early (ahhh! should have waited for him to arrive), but not to worry, I was very pleased with his efforts, things can only get better from here... he's showing great promise.. Here's my proud pic of him with his first...

Ferretboy111
Looking good my friend, cant wait till i can start to begin to train my lil pup. He is a lovely looking lad! Stop whistle is the most necessary piece of training in my mind. Alex
