Either of the manuals are good but you should make sure you pick one that has the recipe for the powder you are using. I only reload shotgun shells at the moment. TONY R Posted August 27, 2016 Report Share Posted August 27, 2016 If you can get varget it works pretty good in the .223 i dont have .223 but mate i shoot with a lot runs one, just fill up the case ...Winchesters... with varget around 27 grains then seat the bullet 50 grain sierras or 50 v maxes . John_R Posted August 27, 2016 Report Share Posted August 27, 2016 I would pick powder etc based upon what you can buy. FWIW for heavy .223 bullets, Vhit N140 has proved pretty good. Go for a faster pwder like N135 if you are shooting lighter bullets. I have never struggled to buy Vhit, unlike other brands.
