moxey
Evening al, I've just bought some cheap carts, ther were a couple ov boxes short out ov one slab so ask just to put something in , in steel just to fill the box I've ended up with sol way steel, 3inch magnum, FE3-an FE4 shot size, now I've checked my B525 an it's steel proof an ok to put them thro, I'm just concerned what choke to use, I've shot 7.5 steel before, just not ov this size, I think the FE3 are 3.6mm any help would be appreciated cheers neil
moxey
Just add to the above, I've shot steel 7.5, with quarter- half choke cheers again Neil
aga man
I have used both shot sizes of the above shells through half choke {modified} with good results. Only duck on inland splashes and the odd fairly close range goose but with nice clean kills, also the odd fox. Obviously your gun will need 3" chambers. moxey
Were ok with 3" chambers, I've got a quarter choke lead- modified steel, on it, take that's ok, just didn't wanna take me head off, maybe being over cautious , cheers
aga man
Yes you are fine with those chokes, should throw a very pleasing pattern out to 40 yds too
