lord_seagrave
Lady Seagrave was exhibiting at Kirstie Allsopp's Handmade Fair this weekend (Kirstie even paid us a visit). Amongst the artisanal food and drink on offer was a range of products from Silent Pool Distillery. Their flagship "Silent Pool" is not to my taste at all (too floral and 'wet'), but their Navy Strength "Admiral Colingwood" is epic. Big, dry, juniper-heavy stuff, and, at 57%, you really know it's there! Definitely a premium product @ £30 for half a litre, but I reckon that several on here will find it to their taste. Best gin I've tried in ages. LS
AlistairB
That's interesting as my fiancees nieces and nephews all have Colingwood as a middle name, so i asked the question and apparently he was her great great......grandfather, so i've ordered a couple of bottles! The image of him on the bottle is a copy of a family painting the FMIL has at home so I'm told! Should keep the FMIL happy (comatose) for a while. Its amazing what you find out on PW!
