Which one or both

Here goes. I'll be applying for my FAC soon, sad to say for paper hole punching first then once i find land to shoot on I'll have my FAC changed. (if that is posible?).

So I have started to look arroung as to what I can buy (used of coarse) only till i can make up my mind as to what it is that i realy want then I will buy new.

So my question is are any of these any good or am i looking for trouble. I looked at the following: Musgrave.22, smk 3-9x40 scope plus sound moderator for £249

CZ 527 .223 very good condition with only 20 or so round through it, no scope or mod for £295.

Or shall I bite the bullet and go for both.

Now that raises another question, I'm a member of a rifle club and they are not approved for .223 shooting, but I only live about 20min drive from Bisley and as a club we visit Bisly once a month. Will the police accept the fact that my club is not approved to shoot .223 but we visit Bisley as a club. Or do i have to be a member at Bisley to use them as my main ground to shoot that calibre from.

Hope that make sense.

I know that if I can find land to shoot on I don't have this problem.

Right now I don't have the time to make face to face visits to farms, new baby and all.

Cheers for all help

Unless your club is a fullbore club OR is affiliated to a fullbore club then you won’t be able to buy a fullbore rifle.

You say that your club shoots regularly at Bisley, so ask your club secretary if your club is in any way affiliated to any fullbore Bisley club. If not then apply for 3 X .22fr rifles - one bolt-action target rifle, one-bolt action hunting rifle and one semi-auto. You can then buy your target rifle and a .22 hunting rifle and save one of the slots for your .223 for when and if you get your land. That way you will already have your .22 rabbit rifle and then later on (perhaps 12 months time) when the police think you are sufficiently competent you can apply for a 1-4-1 and ask for the .223 without having to pay for the variation
