roughshooter
Welll.... Took the plunge and ordered 5KG of copper shot 3.5mm from Siarm. Anybody loaded it? Interested to hear what powders people have used and also what data they have based there loads on. I hear people have loaded as lead, steel, Bismuth and ITX. Not a lot of data for it so will devise my own but some insight in to how it performs would be helpful. Does it need the speed of steel? I will use an enclosed wad and want to load a 32g in a 70mm case and maybe 39g to 42g in a 3" case. regards Graham
Guest cookoff013
28 grams of copper occupies the same amount of space as a 36g lead load. use a 24g steel shotcup. apart from that the usual powders should surfice. also speed should help with this 1450fps is more than enough, and you should go up 2 shotsizes... one to get near like for like to lead and one more to improve the ballistic energy at x yards. graham, i`ll crunch some numbers to see what the usual wads can hold. its accurate to about a gram,
