chrisjpainter
It needs to be done by an RFD and then it has to be registered as an FAC gun. It needs a complete overhaul inside. The regulator needs changing, as do the hammer spring and all the valves to cope with the tolerances of FAC power. There are a fair few people out there who specialise in BSA guns (Darrin at XTX-Air tuned my BSA R10 and did a super job), so it's pretty straightforward getting it done. But don't. The value of an FAC air rifle is nothing compared to a sub12 gun. It's rarely financially sensible to convert a sub12 gun up because of this. I'd by a new R10 and keep it sub12, then when you have got your FAC, look for a second gun that's already FAC to complement it. because of the low value of FAC guns, you can usually pick up a great bargain if you're prepared to wait

Salop Matt
Well said Chris. Also I would add that I don't see any benefit of 40fpe over 30fpe ! ATB Matt
