lakeside1000
Imagine my disappointment when told the 4 week February roost shooting was delayed , the gamekeeper had booked some overseas visitors in for some stalking and didnt want any disturbance , very understandable. Imagine my relief when the weather forcast was Cold, Colder and blinkin freezing for the next two weeks, As I am getting on a bit the thought of standing in a wood with icicles hanging off my nose did not appeal at all. Hopefully by mid February the cold front will have moved over to allow some warmer Atlantic air in and make the whole roost shooting experience a much more comfortable one. So roll on Saturday the 18 th, in the meantime I'm staying in by the fire, any pigeons feeding on my permissions can have a rest from being shot at, bless 'em, Arthritis, rheumatism, a bad back and fear of frostbite keeps me indoors in this weather, I will just have to content myself with my daily read of the Pigeon Watch forum so keep those reports coming in.
