Dunkield
I have heard of this issue on either the GT or BBS forums, drop Ackley a note on the BBS I am <almost> certain he had one. My mate shoots on in 6.5 and it has spot on up to now, but this is not the first time I have heard of 'problems' with the lightweight. mry716 on here will probably know something about this as well. mry716
Sorry no specific knowledge of Sauer problems. Aluminum actions are always likely to give trouble if care isn't taken. Threads are easily stripped and adding oil or grease to prevent it may actually make the chance more likely. I tend to use 'mica' dust on ally threads for trouble free use and as yet have had no problems but on a ally bipod recently added a smear of grease without thinking on one of the legs before screwing it in and it seized and I stripped the thread removing it. You may find there is no comeback on warranty as it is often difficult to prove that you really did take sufficient care. Mica is available from any Lyman stockist as some folk use it as a lubricant for sizing cases when reloading.
