sandersj89
I am just about to do a trip from Worcs back to Sussex, can any one recommend any gun shops in the Worcs area or on the route back to the south east. Route will roughly be something like this: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=e...mp;z=8&om=1 Thanks Jerry
Dunkield
Jerry, 2 I have used and would recommend that are almost on your route would be: Adenbourne in Witney, Oxford http://www.adenbournefieldsports.com/ and F A Andersons in East Grinstead http://www.faanderson.co.uk/ They both have one of those 'talkative people' you find in guns shops so get good at making an exit if you need to (ring their phone number on your mobile in your pocket will do it )

Dunkield
It just goes to show, on that route you almost drive past the end of my road, but there is nothing round here I would recommend. There must be others along that route. You won't beat Andersons on glass prices, they will even undercut The Sportsman if they can. They were very understanding when I returned a Schmidt and Bender after a couple of days and let me swap it for a Swarovski, and they gave me great trade in on a range finder and scope at the same time Adenbourne is quite well stocked and will haggle if you are spending a bit of money, their shotgun cartridge prces are hard to beat I can't remember if their rifle cartridges are as cheap or not. Have you tried Ladds when you are down in Devon, or The Sportsman?
sandersj89
Have you tried Ladds when you are down in Devon, or The Sportsman? Every gun I have ever bought so far has come from Ladds, the first over 20 years ago and I still own it, see my signature. I have a lot of time for the old man there Donald. Trouble is I wont be down there for a few months and I have spare slots on my FAC.... Jerry
Dirty Harry
Sanders, I have family who farm in Little Witley, do you live in Great Witley? If you were to go down the M5 to Tewkesbury you could check out Bredon Hill Shooting, then get back on the M5 to 11a and take the A417 to Cirencester and visit the Cotswold Shooting Company. Then continue on the A419 to the M4 and on to London. You could have a look at Coleys in Cheltenham aswell. The A417/419 is a very fast link to the M4, would be just as quick as the M40.
