EvoCars
Hi, has anyone ever measured the chokes on their escort, my manual with the gun lists as cylinder, mod ect ect leaving me thinking that cylinder was 1/4, mod was 1/2 and so on, but after reading the shooting times review on the 20g version im not so sure of the choke size accuracy(and i dont own a anything to measure with), ive copyied and pasted the section in question below, any ideas, cheers Five screw-in chokes came as part of the package, each marked on the side with the degree of choke. The terms used are not quite the same as the British system and, as choke is a measurement relative to bore size, it was decided to gauge them in comparison to barrel bore. With this set, cylinder was larger than the bore, improved cylinder came out the same as open improved cylinder in our system — i.e. 0.003in choke — modified as tight improved cylinder (0.007in), improved modified as quarter-choke and full was actually just over half. EvoCars
sorry mate, thast not what i meant, erm,, i mean the relation to what the chokes are supposed to be and what they actual are, the shooting times said that, the escort choke that is supposed to be full is only actualy working out at just over 1/2 choke when measured with a gauge and so on, all the chokes according to shooting times are far far more open than supposed to be, I just wondered if that really is the case
