Stuu
A personal best, all the pigeons seem to be grouping back up again. LOTS of them hanging around on and around the farm. I would estimate that I shot another 15-20 ontop of the ones that I managaed to get my hands on in the picture. The grass was so long and the farm is covered in huge nettles and unsafe ground I didnt even attempt to find them. On one occasion however, I attempted to find a downed c/dove in the mist of some nettles. Only to find that it had been scragged by rats which were scurrying around right under my feet! The farm produces food for cattle, from left over breads. They have a HUGE rat problem. A friend and i once shot over 40 rats on there a couple of years ago on the lamp with air-rifles!! I can see next winter being FUN. The photo does not do this dog rat justice, I managed to blast it off the path on the farm.......IT WAS MASSIVE. Loaf anyone? Stuu
I have no idea what they actually do with it all, I think they break it down through machinery or something. Not very appealing i must admit!
