luckytrigger
A couple of days ago a friend who works for a dairy farmer mentioned that i shoot crows to his employer. The upshot of this was that i received a call from the farmer asking if i would like to pop over for a chat about some possible shooting on his land. i looked at the land yesterday afternoon and could not believe how many corvids were about! A lot of them were landing in a field on flattened wheat which the farmer said was fine for me to decoy over. I set my alarm for 3.30am this morning for a nice early start as i had a couple of fields to walk over that i couldnt take my jeep over. i set up using a 'flapper' and six full bodied crow deeks plus three pidgeon shells. As i set up i had corvids decoying in and ended up having a great morning eventually running out of carts by 6.45am with corvids still coming in to the deeks. I ended up with 84 corvids and 5 pidgeons ..As i took the kit back to the jeep the farmer came over and said i could shoot when i wanted and that he would look out some cartridges for me.. Good morning all round Attached is pic of the bag couldnt find all that i'd shot due to the length of the wheat!

08shooter
well done you my day was a disaster after 2 real good bags this week i convinced myself i could makea ton today. anyhow i set up and nothing came to me,i ended up with 3 birds for 4 shots fired and i decided to move to another farm,my shooting was cut short by a massive nail in my front tyre so i had to drop the gun and stuff home before going to get it repaired. im absolutely gutted as its raining here now and its the last day of my holiday.i suppose i can t complain as i have probably downed 200 plus corvids in the last week or more

Only really went so i would have something to put on the flapper this morning!
