wymberley
Compared to 1983: Three times the number of members: https://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/383168-basc-membership-hits-155000/ What practical shotgun (no capital letters) shooting courses were being run 35 years ago with just one third of the now current membership?: Compared with just 14 days and limited to pigeon shooting this year: https://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/383169-basc-training-courses-2019/ NB This is not and can not be a criticism of BASC. In the early 80s a need was recognised and was met by BASC. It would appear that the need has altered and therefore it is pointless offering anything that will not be taken up by the membership. However, it could be debated whether or not appearances can be deceptive and whether or not some leading by example is advantageous with regard to the second bullet point in this thread.
