McSpredder
Natural England / Mediaeval England? Natural England were apparently determined to impose a return to the mediaeval situation, where a small clique of the rich and powerful could require that vast populations of pigeons were retained for their personal pleasure, and that the birds must be maintained at the expense of peasants on whose crops they fed. The only difference between then and now is that mediaeval lords of the manor have been replaced by a group of super-rich activists, whose campaign has been given extensive publicity at the taxpayers’ expense via the BBC licence fee, and who never miss an opportunity to express their contempt for the lowly food-producers. Is it likely that DEFRA will have a different approach to the licencing of pest control?
