It says it's a solvent on the tin which has made me think. :( Sean Young’s 303 is a bore cleaner that can be mixed with water to form an emulsion which is OK for cleaning a bore. I personally wouldn’t want to use it to wipe the barrel with, because if you don’t clean it off properly it will absorb moisture when you take it out and it will form a slimy film on the metal. One of the clever wags ay my club used it to clean the action of his Marlin s/a. After a few outings it formed a lovely gunk in the moving parts and clogged everything up nicely. G.M.
