  1. sorry mate but you can't polish a ****!!!
  2. I bought a Beretta 303 last summer and have put plenty of carts through it without a single problem. It was in excellent condition and cost 350. Its the first semi i've owned (and shot!) and I can't fault it. I was surprised at how much less recoil and noise the beretta gave out in comparison with my dad's o/u.
  3. I was looking at purchasing one of these two guns the other day but ending up buying a s/h Beretta 303 for 350pound in v good condition. The guy at the shop was offering the webley & scotts (walnut) for 470 but agreed that they would lose value straight away, unlike s/h Berettas. Plus, he considered Beretta semis to be the best. Today I've put over 100 cartridges through mine and it performed flawlessly . Only downside is it's not 3" Sean
  4. Hello everyone, I have just bought a Beretta 303 12 bore for 350 quid . However after a bit of reading I am still unsure as to what each of the markings on the barrel mean. Any help or a link to a site with drawings of proof marks would be greatly appreciated. These are the symbols on the barrel: KG 1,030 CAM.70 18.3 (1 star above)FINITO (2 stars above)PSF (1 star above)a sorta crossed swords symbol, and finally, AP Thanks, Sean ps I know its 2 3/4" so the CAM70 probably means this but I'm confused about the use of steel shot through it. Guess I should've asked the shop
  5. Thanks for that. I'd better get some standard gun oil then. Sean
  6. Just a quick question. Is Youngs 303 suitable to be wiped over bluing or is it just for the gun's bore? It says it's a solvent on the tin which has made me think. Sean
  7. Hello everyone, My name is Sean, I'm 16 and currently shoot an air rifle (HW77k) on a local farm. I've also shot shotguns and have applied for a licence which, finger crossed, should be here next week (after a 9 week wait!). I fancy getting a side-by-side for my first gun mainly because they're cheap but after reading on the subject it seems gun fit is most important. The forum seems excellent by the way. I especially like the sporting pictures section. Sean
